At Miranda's Miracles Fund, we are dedicated to raising funds for childhood cancer research. Our mission is to honour the memory of our beloved Miranda and to make a positive impact in the lives of other children fighting this battle....to fund kinder, gentler treatments and ultimately

A CURE

for childhood cancer.

WHY THIS SITE EXISTS...

Some words about the perfection of Miranda....

Miranda was a beautiful, brilliant, intelligent and amazing young woman. She was the best sister and daughter you could ever imagine. She was a loving granddaughter and niece, she loved her brother, her parents, her friends and she loved her dog.

This website is designed to introduce our girl to the world....a world that will only KNOW our daughter through us now.

In September of 2011, we rushed Miranda to the hospital and after some tests and procedures she was diagnosed with Stage 4 alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma. She was days away from turning 16.

We were accepted into a trial protocol at Hospital for Sick Children where she would be given a chemo protocol that was the first breakthrough for the treatment of rhabdomyosarcoma in THIRTY YEARS!

From the moment she started her treatment at Sick Kids, she was involved in trying to make a difference. She was in a Thank You/Congratulations video for Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed in September of 2011, she was in the 2012 Fall Branding campaign "You Got It" (See this photo? That's from the ad campaign!), she designed tshirts for the Rally for Kids with cancer, and she ran a fundraiser of her own in June of 2012. She called it Celebration of Miracles....because she (and we...) knew it was a MIRACLE she was still with us...Through all of this, she kept up with her Grade 11 and then Grade 12 studies. She even wrote exams!

Our Miranda responded well to the treatment until March of 2012....the cancer cheated and invaded her csf and brain....radiation therapy was used to get some control over the symptoms and a new chemo protocol was started.

Miranda fought until March 27, 2013....she was home with us, her brother, her dog and her grandma when cancer finally stole our daughter....

Even at her wake, Miranda inspired people! They donated to childhood cancer research and bought her shirts.....thousands of dollars were raised, hundreds of people attended her services and she was given a police escort to her final spot...

NOW our family and friends continue to raise crucial childhood cancer research funds for the Hospital for Sick Children. To date our efforts have raised over $215,680.00! All of the funds raised have gone to a monitored named designated fund called REMEMBER MIRANDA T8294. There is a photo of our plaque in Donor Hall at Sick Kids below in the photo gallery.

Our goal is Miranda's goal.....to help save children and to keep families together. We are hoping to fund kinder, gentler treatments and ultimately we want to help fund a cure....

Events and volunteer opportunities!

Music 4 Miracles October 18 2025

This event will be held at The Warehouse at 11 Geneva St in St Catharines!

We will be welcoming the amazing musical talents of Stone Blind (Eric Bauer's band.....Miranda's brother), Breaking Still, Panharmonicon and Just Amsterdam.

All the bands are donating the time and talent to help us help make a difference!

Tickets are $20.

There will be a cash bar.

There will be SCREW CANCER items designed by Miranda.

There will be an amazing raffle item.

ALL FUNDS, as always, will be sent to our childhood cancer research fund that we hold at Sick Kids in Toronto in memory of Miranda called

REMEMBER MIRANDA T8294.

We have raised over $215,000 to date to fund research and kinder, gentler treatments and, ultimately, a cure.

13th Annual Making More Miracles in Memory of Miranda Bauer

We are the family of Miranda Bauer and we want to THANK YOU for supporting our mission!

All funds will go directly to a RESEARCH ONLY account that we have set up at HOSPITAL FOR SICK CHILDREN in Toronto called REMEMBER MIRANDA T8294.

We started raising funds in Miranda's memory at our first event in May of 2014. We continue with these annual events to get much needed research funds to Toronto to try to help save other children. We were able to raise $15680.00 at our 12th Annual Event in April 2025.

With your help our fund has grown to roughly $215,680.00!!

This is a public event and all are welcome! Tables can sit 8-10 people. Don't have a full table? NO problem! Couples and singles are so welcome and we will have you sitting with amazing supporters of ours! Everyone we know is like everyone we know and they are warm and welcoming!! Don't forget that this is a family friendly event and children are very welcome! We hosted 236 people last year so as you can imagine this is a busy and fun night for us!

Ticket prices to this event are $40 each and includes dinner, trivia game and live entertainment.

There will also be a wine pull, silent auction and raffle items which are at a separate cost.

We are also able to give volunteer hours to high school students who help us make the night a success! We couldn't do it without them!!
